This is an old pendulum-type funicular from 19th century. It is a great tourist attraction. It is certainly the best and easiest way to get to the Castle. The Palvolgy Stalactite Cave is a biggest and magnificent labyrinth. The walls in this cave are coated with precipitate formed by warm water melting mineral salts. The cave lowest level is used as a respiratory sanatorium for its clean air. The Matyas Cave in the suburbs of the capital has a crawling-room-only section called the "sandwich of death".
